Why such a site?
Through Live Pics I’m trying to ally two great passions: music and photography.
I’m a big fan of Heavy Metal, I like especially Metallica, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, but I also like all the different kinds of Metal (Sepultura, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Soilworks, SUP) as well as rock music in general (Muse, Placebo, Koritni, etc.).

I’ve always been attracted by the image that comes out from the bands, that’s the reason why I decided to photograph them on stage. To me, a concert is a very special moment between the bands and their fans. Despite all the stage effects, it’s also the only moment where they can show us their real nature. It’s an ideal event to photograph.

I made this site to share my photographs with all the fans.
You’ll find great bands that are known worldwide, but also small bands because everyone has the right to exist and to be recognized as well.

Acknowledgements
I would like to thanks all my friends thanks to whom I manage to get accreditations, indeed, if they were not there, this site could not exist. I’d also like to thanks in advance all the people I have not persecuted yet to get some more pass! To managers and producers: thank you! And of course, I’d like to thanks all the bands for their music and for what they give on stage just for us.
More personally, I want to thanks Sam, Tangui, Roger Wessier, Base Productions, Garance, Matthieu, Muriel, Sacha, as well as all of those who help me and support me in living this passion everyday.

Who’s hiding behind the camera?
I don’t want to tell you the story of my life or to show you my CV. I’ll be concise. First of all, I’m a computer specialist, it’s a also passion, I fell in love with the art of photography in Spring 2005, encouraged by the arrival of the digital era, with the only purpose of photographing bands on stage.
For more information about me, please visit my Myspace page (under construction).

A word about the use of the Live Pics’ pictures (in general):
Each photograph has a copyright. You may not make them your property, duplicate them, print them, spread them, etc. They contain a visual copyright that must not be taken away from them (erased or trimmed) as well as a digital copyright that can not be deleted.
If you want to use some pictures please make your request via an e-mail.

The use of the Live Pics’ pictures for Internet:
If you want to use my pictures please send me an e-mail stating clearly what you want those photos for, I also request to have the URL of the website where they’ll be displayed. I gladly give you the right to use them, but there is a mandatory condition: my name, as well as the URL of Live Pics, must be mentioned in the properties of the pictures with, if possible, a back link.

The use of the Live Pics’ pictures for press, promotional, or commercial purpose:
For any of these purposes please send me an e-mail specifying clearly what you want to use the photos for and the technical specifications they must respond to.

You are a band and you want to be photographed?
I’m opened to any proposal (on stage, in studio, etc.) in Paris and suburbs if possible. Don’t hesitate to contact me and we’ll find an arrangement.

Partnership
As it is already the case with the Webzine Heavylaw, I can go to concerts (preferably in Paris and suburb) under your request. The deal is simple, you provide me an accreditation to take pictures for a concert and you can choose the pictures you want. Moreover, you will be given the exclusive display for those photos.

May I buy Live Pics’ photographs?
Since I’m not a professional photographer (for the moment at least) I do not sell my photos, even though it would help me a lot to fund my equipment. Moreover, even if I took the photos, I can not really say if I have the right to sell them especially because of image rights of the bands.

How to contact me?
For a first contact, I ask you to send me an e-mail at: live_pics2006@yahoo.fr. If you have not received any reply after a week, it’s probably because your mail fell in the “Spam” folder of Yahoo. In this case, you can send an e-mail at: metfan_wd@hotmail.com but I do not check it very regularly.

What lies between the photographer and the stage?
I currently use a Canon 350D, but I’m trying to replace it. I use Canon lenses:
- EF 24-70 / f2.8 L
- EF 70-200 / f2.8 L IS
- EF 50 / f1.4
- EF-S 10-22 / f3.5-4.5
I choose Canon because it is what professionals use, and if that’s great for them, it’s great for me (my banker does not share this opinion though…). I use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to insert the copyright.
